The cost of Brown's last tax!
As the new tax year begins the Conservatives have come up with this poster to highlight just how Gordon Brown's last budget as Chancellor is now going to cost us.
However, in the usual spin laden way that we have got used to under Labour, they are claiming that the majority of us would be better off thanks to tax credits. Yes, the very same tax credits that are so confusing to apply for that they are more of a deterrant.
It's nice to know that the party of the working man is still thinking about them. Well, thinking how much more they can screw out of them at least.

Very effective poster, as someone who once claimed tax credits it is very confusing, I was with an accountant who had no idea how they worked it out, so if a qualified accountant has no idea what chance a Civil Servant? a good idea just not very user friendly.
Still at least we know what Brown is really like, tax, tax, then tax some more.
I didn't see pensioners on the poster.
All retired women aged 60 - 65 will see their tax increase. Mine will double.
Still that's alright, someone earning over £40,000 per year will gain because of my loss.
I emailed Gordon Brown when the budget was first announced telling him of my concern. In spite of a number of reminders, he didn't bother to answer.
I think that says it all
