More spinning logic

This morning Shadow Chancellor George Osborne announced that he would treble the duty on alco-pops, strong beers and ciders, in an effort to curb the increase in binge drinking. Labour have, as usual come out with the line that this plan is unworkable.

However, in the same news bulletin it was reported the Alastair Darling is going to increase duty on spirits in an attempt to curb the increase in binge drinking!

So if its that unworkable, why is he going to do it?
