A raid is a raid.
As we all know Harry Redknapp was yesterday arrested as part of an investigation into football corruption. Now before anyone kicks off at me (no pun intended), I'm not passing judgement on the situation as this is an ongoing case. But what I do have bone to pick with was comments made abut the police after the arrest.
The police have been criticised for performing a dawn raid, with accusations that they were being melodramatic. Much in the same way that Lord Levy accused the police for their "tactics" when his house was raided as part of the cash for honours inquiry.
Also, yesterday the police in four cities carried out dawn raids in a crack down on gun crime. So what's my point? Well, that is how the police do it, no favouritism, if they need to carry out a raid they carry it out, usually at dawn whilst the person is still asleep to catch them unawares. What I get fed up with is so called celebrities that think they should get special treatment. Both Harry's team, and Lord Levy feel they should get some sort of special red carpet treatment when they get arrested.
The fact of the matter is the police had a job to do, and they did it, and treated them just the same as everyone else.
