ARA claims a victory?

The abject failure that has been the Asset Recovery Agency seems to have to sunk to a new low this afternoon, after it announced in a blaze of glory the seizure of £143,000 of illegally gained assets.

Fair enough, nice to see, some would say. But when you read the Government's press release, you see that they in fact took the money from the estate of a murdered criminal. Not exactly "taking on the Mr Big's" and getting their ill gotten gains is it, if the only way you can seize any money is to wait for them to be murdered and then, in effect, contest the will.
