Conference bouncing

The usual effect of a conference is a surge in the polls following your party's conference, as each party has blanket TV coverage, in order to get their message across. The reason I mention this is that a lot is being made of Labour's poll lead, but what of the Lib Dems? Last week was their conference, so the rule of thumb should have shown an improvement.

However, it didn't, the Libs actually ended their conference week with a worse poll rating. Not a good week for them.

Now I'm going to make a prediction, if there is no election announcement by Labour, and there have a straight forward conference, there poll rating will increase by the end of the week, and following the tory conference next week, they will bounce back and the neck and neck ratings will return, especially when PMQ's start up again. At least the Government cock ups (FMD, Northern Rock etc) can be debated in the House, and not on the TV news channels.
