Doing yourselves out of a job!
I have argued against the governments planned closures of Post Offices for longer than I've been blogging, so it bring no pleasure at all to name and shame my local sorting office and their antics.
[rant]The story begins at around 8.55 am, when Mrs Last Boy Scout spotted one of the annoying red "Sorry, you were out" slips had been posted through the letterbox. I must add at this point, that it was posted without the postie actually knocking on the door, even though the entire family were in the building at the time.
Mrs LBS then went out to speak to said postie, as he was still in sight, to ask why he hadn't bothered to knocked. Well after a heated discussion it transpired that he did not even have the parcel with him, just the "pre-completed" red slip, which was timed for five minutes after this discussion had taken place!?!
So, Post Office, is it laziness or incompetence that this practice take place, especially in the run up to christmas when people are expecting deliveries.
Besides, with so many Post Office jobs at risk, why are you trying to do yourselves out a job!?!
So, Woolwich Sorting Office London SE18, consider yourselves shamed! [/rant]
