Hewitt:"Tories are healthier", so you can have your NHS services cut.
Whilst John Reid is creating the post of Secretary of State for Off the cuff policies, Patricia Hewitt seems to want to take Prescott's mantle of consistantly putting her foot in it.
Even after her now infamous declaration, that the NHS was having it's best year ever, she out does herself in the way she justifies the cuts in services, which are seemingly based on political lines.
In her usual brazen and two footed way she told a Tory MP, at the Commons health committee, last night that "Your constituents have the good fortune to be significantly healthier than my constituents. It is true wealthy parts of the country are more likely to return Conservative MPs and poor parts of the country are more likely to return Labour MPs."
Mrs Hewitt then went on to infuriate health service executives by blaming THEM for the funding crisis. She also blasted hospitals for hiring too many workers so they can meet targets — only to have to sack them now.
So basically what you are saying Patricia is that it's okay to cut services in Tory areas because they are healthier!?! What utter twaddle!
This is blatant vote gerrymandering, with our health being held to ransom.

Patricia is clearly out of her depth in her current job. She said that she is taking personal responsibility for getting the funding in the NHS right by April. Will she still be in post by then?
Even though she is useless, she can't be sacked because most of the other women in the Cabinet are even less competent! And so are most of the men!
That's the nicest thing anyone has ever said about her.
